October Italian Heritage Month Events

FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 27, 2024 – 7PM - 25TH  Anniversary Gala Celebration at Teresa’s Prime Steakhouse – 20 Elm Street – RTE. 62 – North Reading, MA. Hors d'oeuvres begin at 7PM with Stuff Mushrooms, Arancini, Cheese & Crackers and Fruit followed by Dinner at 8 PM which includes Salad, Penne Pasta, Tuscan Vegetables, Tri-color Roasted Potatoes, choice between a 12oz Rib Eye or Haddock, Rolls & Butter, passed Wine during dinner, Cheesecake and Coffee for dessert. Stephen Savio and his Seabreeze band will provide the music for your listening and dancing pleasure. The cost per person is $100. As a member of the Wilmington Lodge your cost for this event will only be $50. The Roncalli Trust will subsidize half the cost of the ticket. Deadline for tickets is September 13, 2024. 

TUESDAY, OCTOBER 1, 2024 – 6PM - October Italian Heritage Month Kickoff event – Massachusetts House Chambers, Boston honoring Michael Colomba with the Entrepreneur Award, Emilio Bizzi with the Educational Award and Mary Ann Esposito with the Culinary Arts Award. There will be 5 scholarship presentations and music performed by Cora Dante. There will be a brief speaking program including Speaker of the House Ron Mariano, OSDIA National President Michael Polo, and the Italian Consul General to Boston, Arnaldo Minuti. The evening will conclude with a buffet. This event is free and open to the public.

MONDAY, OCTOBER 14, 2024 – 9AM - Columbus Day Breakfast – Dante Alighieri Cultural Center – 42 Hampshire Street – Cambridge, MA. The breakfast buffet will begin at 9:00 AM. The October Italian Heritage Committee will honor Diane Modica, former Chair of the Massachusetts Commission for Social Justice. She will speak on the importance of Columbus Day. This event is free and open to the public.

Lisa Duffy is asking our help to support the Andover Safe House wit a  Collection Drive. 

They need towels, shampoo, condintioner, feminine care products, deodorant, brushes, combs, dental hygene products etc. 

Bring items to the September meeting.

Calendar Party – Our lodge is having a Calendar Party on Friday, November 1, 2024

at the Wilmington Knights of Columbus Hall.

You will pick a month and decorate your table in honor of that month. You can pick a Holiday or anything you want to represent the month. You will also provide a raffle basket worth $25.  There will be a DJ, coffee and cash bar. Bring your own food. This will be a fundraiser for Winchester Hospital Breast Cancer Center.
 $25 pp. Sign up in the book.
